Tony is a 45 year old native of Fort Wayne. He graduated from North Side High School in 1978. He attended Ivy Tech, IPFW, completed the National Association of Broadcasters Executive Business Program and the Executive Integral Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame. He has four children. Tony is married to Leann Didier, and has 4 children. Stephanie 21, Anthony 18, Alexandra 15, and Brayden 8 months. At age 13, he and his friends had a small pirate radio station in his basement.
When he was 16 (1976) he got his first professional paying job as a disc jockey for WLYV (Country) in Fort Wayne. He joined Federated Media in 1978.In March 1984 he was promoted to Program Director of WMEE (CHR). He helped lead the station to number one status where it stayed until he left the air in 1991.
Tony was also one of “Those 2 guys in the Morning” on WMEE with Charly Butcher. They achieved the highest ratings in Fort Wayne’s history, 2nd only to Bob Sievers at WOWO. One half of the people in the Fort Wayne area listened to their show every weekday morning. In September of 1991 Tony was named General Manager of WMEE and WKJG. In January of 2000, Tony became the Chief Operating Officer of Federated Media. Tony enjoys being active in the community, working, playing golf, and baseball.
